How this looks:

We meet twice in your home before your baby arrives - these aren't rushed appointments but 2-3 hour conversations over tea where we build the kind of trust that lets you lean into birth fully. We explore what you need, what birth looks like in your vision and how you step into birth with confidence.

You'll also have one focused video call in those final weeks just you and me diving into any fears that surface, clearing the path mentally and emotionally so nothing stands between you and the birth your preparing for.

From 38 weeks onwards, I'm on call 24/7 - answering texts in early labour and arriving when you need me. In your home & at the hospital, I'm the steady presence beside you and your partner anticipating needs, offering hands-on comfort, protecting your space so you can go inward and do what your body knows how to do.

And after you're not suddenly alone with a newborn. I come back for a postpartum visit to check in on you - your recovery, your emotions, how your processing it all. Plus phone and text support for four weeks as you find your rhythm in those tender early days.

1 extended postpartum visit including Closing of the Bones ceremony
How this looks:

These extra sessions aren’t simply “added time” They are the difference between skimming the surface and sinking into the depth of what this transition really asks of you. In our antenatal visits, we slow everything down so we can explore the what-ifs that so often swirl quietly in the background: What if labour takes longer than you imagined? What if you need to advocate for yourself when you’re already exhausted? What if fear rises in the middle of it all? This space matters because it gives those worries somewhere to land before birth so they don’t erupt as panic when you most need your energy.

It’s also the place where we tend to your past birth experiences and the stories you’ve inherited. Maybe there’s a lingering ache from how things unfolded before. Maybe there are family stories you’ve been told that whisper doubt into your own confidence.

Gently unravelling these isn’t indulgent - it’s essential. Because carrying them unchecked can leave your body tense, your mind questioning, your spirit braced for the worst. Releasing them creates room for something new you’ll feel this in your body - Trust that feels like your shoulders dropping and your breath moving freely. Safety that feels like being able to close your eyes and know you are held. Clarity that feels like a quiet steadiness in your chest, where fear used to grip tight. This is why we deepen. Because birth is never just physical. It’s the sum of your body, your emotions, your beliefs, your spirit and tending to all of this changes how you meet it.

The extended postpartum support continues this same thread. At five or six weeks, when the initial rush has worn off and the questions are louder, you’ll have me still there in your corner reminding you that what you’re feeling is valid and that you’re doing better than you think. After birth, your body has quite literally opened to bring life through. When we gather for Closing of the Bones this ceremony is about gentle, intentional closing it's giving your body, heart and spirit a space to feel held together again and be honoured.

Many mothers say this is the moment they finally exhale, when the immensity of what they’ve lived through is met.
It's the threshold ritual our culture has lost and you deserve it.

Postpartum Doula Support
Birth isn't the end it's the beginning of a new journey and you deserve support through those early weeks and months (and beyond.)

Postpartum doula support is mothering you so you can mother/parent your baby with less distractions. Whether your baby is two days old or ten months old, it's never too late to ask for support.

What This Support Can Look Like:

This isn't a one size fits all package but this is deeply personal, shaped around what you and your family actually need. I show up and do what you need that day.
Some families need someone a few times a week in those first intense months. Others find that once weekly support over a longer period gives them the steady anchor they're craving. Some people book a single four hour session when they're at breaking point and need immediate relief.

All of it is valid.
What happens during our time together is led entirely by what you need that day.
Some days that looks like me holding your baby while you shower, eat a proper meal or finally sleep. Other days it's cooking food that will nourish you through the week and tidying the chaos so you can breathe easier in your own space. Sometimes it's feeding or settling baby while you rest or supporting you with your confidence babywearing or responsive feeding techniques.
And often it's listening, holding space while you process the enormity of birth and this transition in your family.

Postpartum doula support is for you if:
-
You're pregnant and want care lined up for those early weeks so you can focus on you baby without missing a precious moment instead of focusing on logistics and need to do's.
-
You're in the thick of it and realizing you need more support than you thought or different support than what you're receiving. (one that comes without awkward family dynamics)
-
You're months postpartum and sick of people telling you what you should and shouldn't be doing or feeling. Maybe everyone keeps saying "you should be back to normal", ''baby should be sleeping at night'' or ''you shouldn't be holding your baby all the time'' but this doesn't feel right for you because none of those are true. Support without judgement is here for you even at six months, nine months, a year postpartum.
-
You're navigating postpartum alone - whether that's single parenting, a partner who works long hours or family who live far away.
-
You have older children and you're trying to figure out how to care for a newborn while also showing up for them.
-
You're recovering from a difficult birth physically or emotionally and need someone who understands the weight of that.
-
You simply want to be held and honoured through this transition because you know you deserve nurturing too.

What I Bring:

I bring years of experience holding space for families in their most vulnerable, transformative time and the belief of how our care postpartum experience affects our lives in perimenopause and beyond.
I bring presence, showing up without judgment, expectation or an agenda for how your postpartum "should" look.
I see you not just as a new parent, but as a whole person navigating an enormous shift a rite of passage.
I know that postpartum isn't just about the baby. It's about you, your body, your emotions, your identity, your relationships.
And I hold all of that with the care and reverence it deserves.

What Families Tell Me Makes The Difference:
The relief of having someone who doesn't need instructions or explanations, I simply see what needs doing and do it.
The permission to rest without guilt, knowing their baby is safe and cared for.
The validation of hearing "this is hard" instead of only "your strong" when what you actually need is acknowledgment, not just reassurance.
The little tips and tricks that make life easier, and the ease of pressure to still get everything done.

Why Doula Support Matters
Birth isn't just a day & postpartum isn't just recovery
- They are a transformation.
I became a doula because I believe these powerful life transitions pregnancy, birth & postpartum deserve to be supported and celebrated.

I remember sitting in a warm, dimly lit room, lavender in the air, while a woman moved through the waves of her labour. She slipped into “labourland” that in-between world where logic falls away and instinct takes over. When a contraction grew strong, she moved toward me, draping her arms over my shoulders and I simply stood with her.
That moment stays with me because what she leaned into wasn’t just my arms but the reassurance of trust & calm presence.

And that kind of presence isn’t only for labour it’s something every Mother and parent deserves throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
You don’t need to do this alone.
Whatever your journey looks like, my role is to support you so you feel respected, seen and heard.
